Bonny Downs Community Association (BDCA) was formed by church members in 1998. Our aim was to address local community needs through re - establishing a local community centre which had closed after falling into disrepair.

The Well Community Centre successfully opened on 2nd June 2001 following an extensive joint refurbishment project in partnership with the London Borough o f Newham. The building has a large hall, children’s areas, workshop, community café, offices, training rooms and a basement area.
Since this time BDCA has grown significantly and we now manage a multi - site elders project ; a nine - acre sports field and various associated fitness projects ; various family and childcare initiatives, including toddler groups, toy library, special needs work and parenting courses. We also offer a host of volunteering opportunities. Our community café (with internet) offers good quality food at reasonable prices and we provide a quality buffet service to training and seminar customers. Our weekly advice and counselling covers welfare benefits, pensions service and counselling issues
