The Well Community Centre

The Well Community Centre has a variety of rooms for hire at reasonable rates. Our main hall is suitable for large events while our training room lends itself to smaller seminar and workshop events. The multi purpose children’s room and basement room can be used as overflow rooms or booked individually. Flipcharts, OHP and Video is available if required. We can supply a variety of refreshments for your event.

Activities

The Well caters for up to 1,000 visitors each week. Our activities include toddler groups, a toy library, parenting courses, coffee mornings, lunch clubs, social events, sports and exercise classes. Regular activities include Kerry Jane dance academy, weight watchers, pension advice, counseling, youth outreach. Something for everyone…

Background

The Well Community Centre successfully opened on 2nd June 2001 following an extensive joint refurbishment project in partnership with the London Borough of Newham.  

Newham is a multi-cultural inner city borough currently undergoing major economic and social development. The area served by The Well forms part of one of the poorest and most needy areas of Britain with high levels of unemployment, single parent families and refugees.
