Volunteering
What Is Volunteering?
Volunteering is the commitment of time and energy for the benefit of society and the community, the environment or individuals outside one's immediate family. It is undertaken freely and by choice, without concern for financial gain
Volunteers can do almost anything! From helping an elderly service user with their shopping, to providing funding advice for our organisation, volunteers make a vital contribution to all aspects of our centre and community life.
Volunteering
There are many opportunities to volunteer in the Centre: the Management Group, working with children, training as a coach in sports, gardening, painting, helping the catering team, working with adults, etc.
We make sure through an interview process that your skills will be well used in the Centre and you will get the best from volunteering. All volunteers must go through a Disclosure Check to ensure that they are no danger to vulnerable adults or children.
If you have hobbies or skills you would like to share, or you just want to do something, then please contact our Centre managers Ms. Tracey Pease or Ms. Linda Knowles on 02085867070 to discuss this further or email Linda.Knowles@bonnydowns.org / Tracey.Pease@bonnydowns.org
