Thanks to funding from BBC Children in Need, BDCA’s Children & Families and Poverty Response teams have been working together to run the Growing Strong Project since 2017. The programme supports children and young people in Newham affected by food poverty and housing insecurity.
We help local children at risk of hunger to thrive and grow stronger by providing healthy food, educational support, recreational activities, safe places to play and access to donated toys, clothes and equipment.
If you feel your child would benefit, just drop-in to our sessions or feel free to call us for more information.
Children and young people from families experiencing problems with housing or food poverty are invited to enjoy our free services and activities:
Saturday Space - weekly drop-in group for 5 and a half to 14 year olds with games, homework support, workshops, crafts, sports and healthy lunch from 10:30am - 12:30pm on Saturdays at The Bobby Moore Sports Pavilion.
